The methodology adopted by the researcher in this study is the most appropriate study method opted by many of the researcher, Researches conducted in this area of work are primarily comparative studies which examines the separated and trafficked children by comparing the crisis situations whether at local, national or transnational level. Comparative analysis of Ireland, United Kingdom (UK) and United States of America (USA) was conducted to observe the impact of regulations and strategy measures taken by their respective governments upon separated and trafficked children (Horgan, 2011).

In this research Horgan tried to explore how trafficking can impact separated children in all these states. What is the status of separated children’s rights? What are the policies catering separated children’s trafficking at national or supranational level? The methodology for such researches is encouraged to be primary where separated children, agencies, practitioners and traffickers are interviewed or asked questions directly for more interactive and analytical analysis. As the crisis itself specifies the analytical analysis which means qualitative research methodology is likely to be used for most of the studies because it requires judgements of the researcher.

The research method for data collection can be both interviews and survey questionnaire too. A study was carried out using questionnaire which was developed by the help of interagency group i.e. NSPCC and Barnardo, then later questionnaire provided the basis for interviews. (Webb & Toner, 2011). It has always been discussed that separated children constitutes for one third of the world’s trafficking (Bump and Duncan, 2003). Considering the proportion of trafficking sample size of sixteen separated children is somewhat less. 3. The article suggested the evidence of exploitation among twenty one percent of the victims while six victims were reported of non-exploitation but were trafficked.
