Physical Agents First Affiliation Low Level Laser Treatment Modality This is a treatment modality which is applied in medical treatment for the purpose of providing treatment for some of the ailments which are in existence. It actually entails implementing the use of low level lasers for the purpose of altering the functioning the functions of the targeted cells. It is a treatment modality which is rather effective in the alleviation of short term pains such as chronic or acute neck pains, osteoarthritis and arthritis. In as much as there are various ailments which this treatment modality can bring about alleviation of pain and treatment for that matter, the one specific ailment which is in focus in this case is that of the neck pain. The alleviation of pain through pain mediation relief methods is something which is not really understood. However, the use of Low Level Laser Treatment Modality reduces the pain around the neck area significantly. This is majorly achieved through the reduction of nerve conduction for painful stimuli together with the muscle fatigue which may be experienced around the neck area. In this case this treatment modality works through the penetration of laserlight into the soft tissue of the neck where this light is absorbed by the tissues in the neck area. The light in this light is converted into energy which is then used for the purpose of increasing the health of the tissues. It is of the essence to note that this form of treatment is one of the safest there is. The risks associated with this form of treatment are rather insignificant. This is unless the exposure is on certain specific areas of the body. The eye is in focus in this case. When applying this treatment modality for the treatment of certain areas of the body such as the face, for example, the patient should wear special goggles which will prevent the penetration of this light energy into the eyes. However, in its application on other areas, there is (NSR) of Non Significant Risk. In the case of this treatment and neck treatment, the stage which majorly necessitates its application is when the cell membranes in the neck area come to be seen as having been injured or have become acutely malfunctioned. In this case, the application of this treatment modality will bring about increased mitochondrial energy by close to 150 per cent. This extra energy in the mitochondria is what will bring about the process of restoration or reparation of the tissues around the neck area. Still on the area where the treatment is applied, it is of the essence to note that there is a lot of tissue and fluid vibration. In this case the area is the neck region. The purpose of this vibration is to exchange information and energy with the surrounding cells. This is achieved through the plasma which acts as the interconnecting body in the case of these cells. In the event that the neck is in an unhealthy state, these vibrations become irregular and there is a lack of proper communication. Through the application of this treatment modality, the energy irradiates these cells and brings them into vibrating harmony. The use of low level laser treatment is a treatment modality which has been in existence for quite some time. This is after the inception of this method in the year 1967. Its first experimental application was in the cases related cancer. In actual sense, the main idea in the case of these experiments was not for the purpose of treatment. The main idea back then was to establish whether cancer can be caused as a result of the application of the laser light. They were applied in mice. However, as Endre Mester applied the laser light on a group of mice which had been shaved, they did not get cancer, instead, the hair on these mice was seen to grow back as a result of the application of this light. Through this research, the aspect of laser biostimulation came into inception. There are some common pathologies which this treatment is used for. Some of these include its application in the healing of areas around dental implants, the treatment of chronic periodontitis together with tendinopathy and arthritis. There have been tremendous developments in the applications associated with this form of treatment. In the recent past, this treatment modality has been applied in the treatment of several ailments exhibited in animals. An example in this case in the alteration of tissue DNA in animals that had been injured especially on the skin. This alteration facilitates for the transportation of nutrients to the injured skin area which will then bring about the healing process. There has been significant strides realized in the treatment procedures that are associated with low level laser. In the recent past, this treatment modality has gone from just treatment of those ailments which can be realized externally. It has come to be realized that this treatment modality has been applied even in the treatment of rather complicated diseases such as diabetes. In this case, the treatment modality is applied on the pancreas. In this case, low level frequency laser beams are applied on the pancreas for the purpose of altering its functioning. In this same relation, it is of the essence to note that this treatment modality has still not reached its peak. There are still tremendous researches which are taking place for the purpose of making it a revolutionized form of treatment. This is something which is even evident since its inception. Initially, it as seen as a modality of treatment which would bring about biostimulation of skin hair. However, in the course of research and development it is now realized that this form of treatment can even be applied in treatment of ailments which are even beneath the skin. This is still done with minimal side effects to the patient. In a period of close to 5 years, this treatment modality will be the most preferred modality due to the fact that it is not associated with pain. On the other hand, more ailments will be tackled through its application on patients. References Bjordal, J. M.; Johnson, M. I.; Iversen, V.; Aimbire, F.; Lopes-Martins, R. A. B. (2006).
