The assessment of vulnerabilities and related countermeasures will be based mainly on the building codes, federal and state laws, recommendations of the federal agency, as well as on the overall history of Category III hurricanes that have occurred in the past in Florida.There will be many benefits for the university regarding the use of this assessment report. The countermeasures mentioned in this report will apply to a wide range of assets. Similarly, the vulnerability evaluation done in this report will be applicable to all current or future assets.

Let us now have a look at some of the main benefits of this report for Mr. Johnson and staff. This report is likely to help them in:The targeted audience for this report includes the Board of Directors of the university, Dr. Johnson and his staff, higher level management, and every person that may have some role to play in decision-making related to dealing with a Category III hurricane.Here, one point to be mentioned is that this assessment is aimed towards those users who do not have relevant expertise in risk assessment as yet and who need to have a strong knowledge of working for the University’s mission and critical assets in accordance with the relevant policies and procedures.

The assessment report is aimed towards knowing the way to protect the above-mentioned categories of assets. Moreover, it will also come up with the ways to educate and train staff, students, and faculty.This assessment report depends a lot on the susceptibility assessment result of each asset. This report includes and presents a workable method that is applicable to the management of assets of the university.
