Organizational Behavior: Terminology and ConceptsThe article is relevant to the study as it generally explains the meaning and terminologies that have been used in organizational behavior. The article does outline the definition of organizational behavior and how it is applicable in the work setup. Secondly the article explains the terminologies that are used in an organization behavior. Among the terms include: meanings of organization culture, diversity, communication, organizational effectiveness and efficiency and organization learning.

It further explains how Maslow and Adams equity theories are applicable to an organization. The article defines organization behavior as the study of human behaviors. It also outlines that scientific methods are mainly used in testing hypothesis in organizations behavior, and it embraces a multidisciplinary approach in the real world situations. Organization behavior is important in understanding how people behave in an organization, and other relationships expected within the organization which will improve productivity.

Organizational behavior is defined as shared values and beliefs that influence the behaviors of individual members. Diversity is an aspect that is concerned with hiring employees in terms of ethnicity, religion, age and gender. Behaviors in an organization exist in two forms; formal and informal .The former is well outlined and the latter is spontaneous. Organizational efficiency is how people are performing well in an organization. Lastly organizational learning is how the organization is able to adapt quickly to the threats and opportunities.

The article outlines the Maslow theory where the psychological needs like excretion, safety needs involve security of the people and resources, love and belonging involve freedom of associations and friendships. While esteem needs involve freedom and respect within the organization, self-actualization needs are allowance of solving problems. The Adams equity theory outlines how there should be a balance between inputs and outputs in an organization, for example hard work should result to financial reward.
