Extract of sample "English as a Second Language Educators"

I began to add words to my vocabulary list and I looked up the translations. Invariably it seemed the first words and phrases that I needed were “please”, “be”, and “quiet” after the usual greeting phrases. To help facilitate using these words, I designed and developed large 12x12 cards out of construction paper which was decorated with nice handwriting in both the English and Spanish languages. I have found that these strategies have been helpful since my pronunciation in Spanish is very poor and the native speakers find it difficult to understand me.

Developing a bilingual vocabulary weekly journal has been very helpful. This sets the educational setting as one that not only teaches the grammar component but it reaches out into what the students are familiar with and how they are able to use it for their educational outcomes. This has led the students to better behavioral patterns, to a better learning environment, and to develop a closer relationship with their peers and their parents. The student is able to develop skills and serve as an interpreter to their parents while discussing their academic progress in school. It has also helped the communication between the student and the educator.
